In 2020, my path led me to weddings, and I can genuinely say that I've found my calling. The joy and emotion that fill a wedding day is unparalleled, and I absolutely love every second of it.

I've always been a bit of a sentimental person. My wife can vouch for that, with my collection of old Pokémon cards and first-grade agendas tucked away in our garage. It's a habit that runs in the family, especially from my Nana, who proudly displays a treasure trove of family photos in her home. Yet, she'll be the first to admit that among them, the wedding photos hold the most cherished place. And that's precisely why I'm so passionate about being a wedding photographer.

My journey with photography began in childhood when I first picked up a camera. Those early shots were taken during our wilderness canoe trips to Algonquin Park, where I found inspiration in the natural beauty of water cascading over granite, towering pines, serene moonlit nights, and the stories shared around campfires. This connection to nature shapes my style.

As I grew older, my passion for photography deepened, leading me to pursue a diploma in photojournalism from Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario. Post-graduation, I spent five years working as a newspaper photographer in Toronto. As an introvert, photography allows me to artfully express emotions and tell stories, capturing not just how I see the world, but how I feel it unfolding. I love documenting fleeting moments in time, and giving people something tangible to remember and honour what matters most to them in life.

Hey, I'm Justin Greaves!

Checking off a gear list for an upcoming canoe trip.
A fresh cup of coffee with a record on the turntable.
Afternoon sunlight on the backyard hammock.
First glimpse at a fresh roll of developed film.
An energetic Sunday morning church service.

A few other things that bring me happiness...

You can often find me surfing the Great Lakes, playing ultimate frisbee, hiking, getting lost on canoe trips, working on personal photo projects, and hanging out with my beautiful wife and our cat.

My wife Tina and I exhausted after hiking up the Stawamus Chief in Squamish, BC. Tina is my climbing companion, my rock, keeping me grounded with never-ending support.

"We were so impressed by his ability to get stunning, candid shots without feeling posed or awkward. We’ve had so many friends and family members tell us how lovely and friendly he was too. It’s clear that he’s not only talented but also a genuinely kind and down-to-earth person, which made him such a joy to have around on our wedding day."
