Landon and Tyler’s relaxed backyard wedding in Brantford last September was a quiet kind of magic. During the long, slow days of the pandemic, they poured their energy into their century home in Brantford, Ontario, infusing every corner with their love for design, the outdoors, and vintage finds. The house felt like a portrait of who they are: layered, thoughtful, and full of charm.
That morning, the air buzzed with movement and chatter. Friends and family moved through the house, laughter spilling from every corner. Tyler was upstairs with the guys, while Landon sat in the front room, sunlight streaming in as hair and makeup were underway. The home was alive, nieces and nephews leaned over the fish tank, eyes wide with wonder, and the family dogs waited eagerly downstairs, tails thumping against the floor.
Before the ceremony, we stopped at their favourite antique store, a treasure trove of memories and inspiration for their home. Landon, in her white dress, floated through the packed aisles like she belonged there. They stumbled across a carved bird figurine, small and simple, and decided to take it home, a quiet reminder of the day.
The ceremony unfolded in a field beside the house where Landon grew up, beneath a massive tree framed by florals she and Tyler had grown themselves. There was no rush, no pretense, just two people, surrounded by the people and places they love most, committing their lives to each other.
Landon and Tyler had no expectations beyond wanting their story told as it was. Relaxed, honest, unpolished. It was a day filled with quiet beauty, the kind that stays with you long after the last frame is taken.
